Regarding your order
Cake Tasting Boxes
Tasting Boxes are an ideal way to try before your buy, consisting of five of our most popular flavours, charged at £25 per box and when a wedding cake order is placed, the £25 will be deducted from the final invoice. I will let you know what flavours will be in the next batch.
Payment
To Secure your date, we require a £200 (non-refundable or transferable) first payment, the remaining balance must be paid at least four weeks before the event. At the time of securing your date you do not need to confirm your design, the final design of your wedding cake will be discussed at least four weeks before the event. If a cake is booked with minimum of two months prior to the date of the event payment will be required in full at time of ordering.
Cake Stands
Use of Cake Stands & Items belonging to Wedding Cakes by Lisa Broughton
If cake stands and internal cake supports are provided by Wedding Cakes by Lisa Broughton a security amount will be requested whilst the items are in your charge. Arrangements need to be in place for the return of the items the following day of the occasion.
If the cake stands, internal supports and any items loaned by Wedding Cakes by Lisa Broughton are damaged or not returned, replacement charges will apply (the replacement costs will be provided in your Final Details Letter).
Consultations
Consultations are exclusively by appointment and take place at Lisa’s residence in Shirley, Surrey. You will have the opportunity to view a variety of display wedding cakes, showcasing different sizes and designs.
The consultation provides an ideal setting for us to meet and discuss all aspects of your wedding and your vision for the perfect wedding cake, we will discuss your design preferences, we will consider your expected guest numbers and the unique elements you have chosen for your wedding, such as your venue, colour themes, wedding style, flowers, invitations, wedding dress, as these can influence your wedding cake design. Lisa will guide you through this process to bring your vision to life, creating a truly bespoke design that not only complements but enhances your wedding.
As a valued client, you will receive a complimentary luxurious cake taster box containing a selection of five flavours, consultations are strictly by appointment only, typically lasting about an hour and are limited to two attendees only.
Delivery & Set Up at Venue
Delivery charges are quoted individually, please ask at time of enquiry what they will be to your chosen venue. The access times of delivery and set up of your cake must be arranged, if the venue is not ready for your cake to be set up at the given time then the cake will be left in the box/boxes at the venue. If delivery of cake is arranged a representative named by you will need to be at the venue for a signed confirmation, photographs of wedding cake in place will be taken - no responsibility of the cake will be taken by Wedding Cakes by Lisa Broughton once the cake is left at the venue.
Collection
You can collect your cake from Lisa’s address at an agreed date and time, the cakes will be packaged well, and we will advise you how to transport them safely, a flat empty car boot is the best place for transport of a cake.
Cancellation Terms & Conditions
All monies paid are non-refundable and transferable, the first payment made to secure your date will cover all communication (telephone calls, social media messaging, communication via wedding planning sites, emails, Face Time, Zoom and face to face consultations). Cancellations made within one month of the booked date will result in all monies paid being retained, cancellations must be given in writing by the client only. Should the final balance remain unpaid by the agreed time we reserve the right to cancel your order due to time constraints and all monies paid will be retained.
